Hello
Nick is an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP/ACP) with an extensive background in elite sport and complex musculoskeletal care. His clinical career began within professional rugby league and rugby union, where he developed a deep understanding of high-performance environments and the demands placed on the body at the highest level.

Since then, Nick has worked as a consultant across a wide spectrum of professional sport, including elite golf, cricket, international climbing disciplines, and British fell running. This breadth of experience has shaped a sophisticated, adaptable approach to assessment and rehabilitation, allowing him to manage both high-performance athletes and complex clinical presentations with equal precision.

Alongside his work in elite sport, Nick completed comprehensive NHS physiotherapy rotations, providing him with a rounded, evidence-based foundation and exceptional skills in clinical reasoning, communication, and patient-centred care. This dual exposure — high-performance sport and public healthcare — remains central to his practice philosophy.

Nick is also an experienced educator, having lectured extensively on a wide range of musculoskeletal topics both nationally and internationally. Teaching has reinforced his belief that clear, effective communication is fundamental to excellent clinical outcomes — a skill in which he is widely recognised as an expert.
Now focused primarily on advanced musculoskeletal practice, Nick continues to work in a consultant capacity across the UK and internationally, managing tertiary referrals and complex, long-standing cases. His passion for musculoskeletal medicine continues to drive a meticulous, thoughtful approach to diagnosis, intervention, and long-term patient outcomes.

Outside the clinic, Nick remains active, balancing a demanding professional life with family time alongside his two energetic sons and dogs. He embraces an outdoor lifestyle that includes running, climbing, golf, and cricket — and, occasionally, the rare luxury of simply sitting still.
